Kabod counseling provides Individual and family counseling for teens in middle school and high-school who suffer from depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and trauma. Also, Individual counseling for college students and young adults struggling with the same.
Q: I feel misunderstood by my parents and others, but I am a minor how do I get counseling services?
A: You will need to obtain consent from your parents or legal guardians. However, once they consent for you to receive services, your confidentiality (privacy) will be kept, unless you are a threat to yourself, to others, or if your therapist suspects any abuse.
Q: How do I know that my information will be kept private?
A: As a client, the law protects your relationship with your therapist. Your information can only be disclosed with written permission. However, your therapist is required to immediately report the following to the appropriate authorities: If you are a threat to yourself, to others, or if your therapist suspects any child abuse, or abuse of a dependent adult or elderly.
Q: What happens during counseling?
A: Initial Session is gathering all registration paperwork, reviewing confidentiality and other policies an getting to know you. The second session is to target and learn more about the challenges.
Q: What are your rates?
A: Initial consultations are FREE via face to face for 15 mins.
First Session-Initial Interview (60 minutes)-$120
Individual Sessions (60 minutes)-$100
Family Sessions (60 mins)-$120
Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: No not at this time.
INSURANCE & OUT OF NETWORK BENEFITS
If you have a PPO or POS plan, you most likely have what is called Out Of Network (OON) benefits. This means your insurance may reimburse you a percentage of any out of pocket costs as determined by your coverage plan. I recommend calling your insurance provider to determine what plan offers in this area -you may be surprised
If you choose to use your Out of Network benefits, I can electronically submit the required form on your behalf as a courtesy to speed along reimbursement process.
Some people may prefer to opt out of using their insurance benefits and choose self-pay instead, they are able to track, view and discuss any progress notes diagnosis, and/or course of treatment as determined by your insurance provider’s contract. For those seeking an extra layer of privacy, or those whose insurance plan does not offer out of network benefits, self-pay may be an option to pay for services.
Q: How do I reschedule my session?
A: If you need to reschedule your session, we ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours’ notice so that Kabod Counseling can provide the service to someone else.

A: You can contact us through this website, phone, coming by with your intake forms, or sending your intake forms via internet or fax.

It is important you make it to all your scheduled appointments. When there are missed appointments, it can cause a lapse in care that can inhibit treatment progress and growth. When you schedule an appointment, that time is now committed to your care. Each day’s schedule is carefully planned to ensure adequate time to see clients, plan for sessions, complete reports, make calls, and all the other items that go into providing the best client care. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Please note that payments are rendered at the day of service.
